The rapid development of artificial intelligence tools is reshaping how we share knowledge. Big players like Microsoft, Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic are providing powerful frameworks, while countless small companies and passionate individuals are creating software for nearly every aspect of modern life.
As someone who loves learning about new options, I asked Google’s NotebookLM to transform our recent publication into a podcast. The study, titled “Evaluation of Nanopore Sequencing on Polar Bodies for Routine Pre-Implantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy” (Oberle et al., 2024), was published in Clinical Chemistry.
The procedure is simple: upload a PDF, optionally provide some guidance on how to present the data, and let the tool generate an audio file featuring two AI-generated commentators.
The result? A conversation with impressive clarity and understanding of the research!
